Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers reminded me of Symonds Yat in the Wye valley both hidden Gems with Noss mayo providing a memorable Sunday Lunch. This walk will be memorable for the infamous River Erme crossing where according to the guide book we could wade across during low tides saving a few miles . On a ebbing tide Mr “Rush” couldn’t wait any longer and rather than ankle deep water it turned out chest height…We didn’t lack a conversation topic for the rest of the walk!
