Starting at the River Taw estuary near Barnstaple our first days flat and level walk couldn't have been so different to the high dramatic cliffs that dominated the majority of this walk with the climb out of Lynmouth the most memorable. A special mention must go the Andrew's on the weir hotel and superb restaurant. Minehead was a landmark finishing the 640 mile South West Path...what a great feeling.
